July Luncheon
Please make plans to join us on July 28 at Junior League Houston at 1811 Briar Oaks Lane as Carla Powers shares her amazing story which she has captured in her book, Matches in the Gas Tank.
When Carla Powers was growing up in the Armstrong cult in East Texas, she didn't know that the world in which she now lives existed. The impoverished girl, whose fourth-grade educated father was a violent pyromaniac, escaped the clutches of the Radio Church of God when she was 17, and used her anger to fuel an insatiable desire to succeed. Her tremendous successes include finishing law school and passing the bar at 22, becoming the first female partner at a 100-person law firm at 28 and heading world-wide litigation for a multinational energy company.
Check-in and networking begin at 11:00. Lunch will be served at 11:30 and we’ll conclude at 1:00. Attendance is always free for Sterling Bank customers and first-time attendees. The fee for others is $35.
Kindly register by July 26 to be included in this special event.
